Aged in French oak, this is an elegant wine with lifted aromas of raspberry, blackberry, plum and chocolate. The palate displays vibrant fruit flavour with complex notes of chocolate, coffee and spice. Rowanston Shiraz is a consistent award winner at local wine shows in Australia as well as in Asia.
Technical Information
Hand-picked, destemmed, open-fermented with cultured yeast, two weeks on skins and aged in French oak for three and a half years.
The 2016 vintage saw a season that had one of the coldest and driest winters, leading into a warm and dry spring and early summer; the harvest was the earliest on record. All in the region agreed that the Shiraz is of exceptional quality.
