This shiraz was selected from the best barrels of our 2015 vintage. It has been left to mature resulting in a wine with a seamless palate, rich and smooth with hints of chocolate and dark cherry. Our 2015 vintage produced low yields and strong flavours resulting in this lovely limited-edition wine.
Technical Information
This estate grown Barrel Select Shiraz is hand-picked, destemmed, open-fermented with cultured yeast, and spends two weeks on skins before being matured in French oak for three years.
The 2015 Vintage season has been considered by winemakers as one of the best years in recent memory. It was an early start to spring. But the weather was unpredictable, with occasional rain and cold snaps. However, a long cool summer with no heat spikes gives grapes enough time for balanced ripening, and dry warm autumn brought the season to an ideal close.
