The palate displays vibrant fruit flavour with complex notes of chocolate, coffee and spice. Rowanston Shiraz is a consistent award winner at local wine shows in Australia as well as in Asia.
Hand-picked, destemmed, open-fermented with cultured yeast, two weeks on skins and aged in French oak for three and a half years.
The 2016 vintage saw a season that had one of the coldest and driest winters, leading into a warm and dry spring and early summer; the harvest was the earliest on record. All in the region agreed that the Shiraz is of exceptional quality.
